Taylor, following in the very large footprints of Douglas Fairbanks and Errol Flynn, portrays the legendary bandit. Duped by two disloyal noblemen into undertaking a suicidal mission to retrieve plans to free King Richard from a German castle, he goes to Germany disguised as a troubadour but is captured. The Merrie Men free him and save the king from an ambush. This low-budget swashbuckler is good fun for the undiscriminating. leave a comment
