Days of the dead: Frederico Luppi and Dan Rivera Gonzales

Filmed almost entirely in Spanish and the native languages of Latin America, this adventure from John Sayles is an interesting attempt to come to terms with terror and violence in the region's remote areas. An elderly physician (Frederico Luppi) sets out to visit former students who took part in a government-funded health project designed to train young doctors in poor mountain villages.
