An uneventful and tiresome adaptation of the long-running Broadway play of 1924 entitled "The Show-Off." Skelly is in the lead role as a mouthy and obnoxious fellow who manages to get on everyone's bad side except for his darling wife. While the script by Herman J. Mankiewicz and Marion
Dix is overly literal, it is not as problematic as Skelly's lame performance, shining only for the song-and-dance numbers.
