Geer is a typical upper-class, middle-aged housewife of the early 1970s. Her husband is openly sleeping around, her kids are weighing her down, and she's getting edgy. She tries swapping mates but not surprisingly is left unsatisfied. She also frequents a motel everyday in an attempt to find herself and to get her husband jealous. Geer, who also wrote the screenplay, has made a picture that deals effectively with a predominantly women's issue of the 1970s, but now it looks a bit dated and out of place. Her father, Will Geer, makes a small appearance as the dirty-minded manager of the motel. leave a comment
