Autry is invited to pay a visit to his hometown of Torpedo, Arizona, and is made honorary sheriff for the Frontier Days Celebration. When MacLane and his outlaw gang start raising a ruckus, Autry decides to wear the badge just as long as it takes to rid the town of the gang.
