Quillan is an ambitious busboy in a nightclub run by Tim Ryan, who is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Quillan repeatedly tries his hand at auditioning girls to sing in the club and one day Irene Ryan shows up. Quillan and owner Ryan mistake her for a wealthy heiress who can help get
the club back on its feet. The business gets some new blood when hat-check girl Hughes gets a chance to deliver a few tunes. A confused but fairly entertaining picture. Songs include: "I Don't Know," "Woman Behind the Man Behind the Gun," "Amigo," "Whatever Possessed Me," "Mr. and Mrs. Commando,"
"Don't Fall in Love," and "Speechless" (Eddie Cherkose, Edward Kay).
