MEET THE HOLLOWHEADS is anything but a sci-fi moviegoer's dream. Instead, special-effects expert Tom Burman, making his directing debut, has delivered the kind of science-fiction film in which the originality of the effects far outstrips the ingenuity of the plot or characters. Henry Hollowhead (John Glover) is a meter reader with United Umbilical, which supplies food and other domestic services through a network of tubes.
