Meet Me At Dawn

Turn-of-the-century Paris is the backdrop for this romantic comedy in which Eythe supports himself by working as a professional duelist. He is hired by a group of politicians to insult and challenge a prominent senator. He feigns a dispute over Court, a young lovely whose father, Sydney, happens to operate the local newspaper and who, without knowing his daughter is involved, brands the contested woman "Madame X." The finale has Eythe and Court falling in love, and her father becoming the local hero after he is challenged to a duel by Eythe, whom he has insulted, and Eythe allows Sydney to nick him and win the match.
