The Mechanic

"Murder is only killing without a license and everybody kills--the Army, the police." This sums up the philosophy of anti-hero Bronson, a hired assassin or "mechanic," known for his cold-blooded and efficient work. Vincent plays the young apprentice, eager to learn the business from its best practitioner. During the course of the film, which is told episodically, the pair go on a series of Bondian-type adventures, leading up to a trick ending in which Bronson and Vincent manage to cheat some killers who are trying to get at them.
