In The Meantime, Darling

Wartime comedy features Crain as a pampered rich girl who marries army lieutenant Latimore. Army life, with all its traveling and cramped quarters, is more than she can handle. She fights with the other wives in the small hotel she lives in. When Latimore's unit is put on alert, she tries to use her father's influence to get her husband a permanent stateside position. There is a misunderstanding between the couple when he mistakenly believes she is pregnant. In the end, Crain realizes what the war effort is all about and bravely says goodbye as Latimore goes off to war.
