After retiring from vaudeville, ex-hoofer Murphy opens up an agency for dance bands. He decides to play social worker as well, hiring a group of street kids so they'll have something to do besides hang out on the corner. But after he hires the kids' leader, Downing, he finds nothing but trouble.
