Successful as toys and on Saturday morning television, THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ventured into the theatres with little success. He-Man (Dolph Lundgren) and Skeletor (Frank Langella) battle mightily as they search for a key that unlocks the secrets of the universe. The film is ablaze with laser battles, with pauses for Skeletor to pontificate on the glories of evil and such. There are some decent special effects, but overall it's about what you'd expect from a movie inspired by a line of toys. leave a comment
