This below average western finds Madison and Calhoun as two Army officers who are both in love with Downs, a colonel's daughter. She prefers Madison, but he ends up falling for shady lady Mathews. There's also some fighting with the Indians, but this confrontation is downplayed, with the
romantic problems being the centerpiece of the story. This was an unusual move for a B western and it just doesn't work. The players aren't talented enough to make the love story believable and the action scenes are poorly done. This was Madison's second western, the genre in which he made his
name.
