A strange title that makes one think of Zorro, not a hospital drama. The producers must have thought we'd understand that the mask they refer to is a surgical one, not a mask to hide one's identity. Lots of plots, subplots and counterplots in this Dope Opera which is not to be confused with the Boris Karloff 1932 feature of the same name.
