Von Stroheim plays a gun runner, readying himself to ship $250,000 worth of munitions to revolutionaries in Korea. He's having an affair with Frenchwoman Balin, while trying to keep both his business and love life a secret from daughter Carletti. She is romantically involved with Toutain,
a British journalist who exposes von Stroheim, along with a gambling operation run by Hayakawa. Poorly made with a trite script, this was clearly below the talents of von Stroheim, who was also a great director. Bad dubbing doesn't help the picture, though the explosive action-filled climax does
hold some interest.
