Mary Ryan, Detective: Review

A routine detective story with a female sleuth as a plot twist. Hunt is on the trail of a fence of stolen goods. She gets arrested in order to gain the confidence of a notorious shoplifter and is then able to obtain the address of the top man's hideout and puts him under arrest. The plot is strictly formula with standard acting and production values. Hunt is a little too perky for her role and it's difficult to swallow her as a hard-boiled detective. leave a comment
