Struggling British theater producer Watling overhears a conversation by Bentley, a psychiatrist who is convinced that by hypnotizing a pregnant woman he can create the perfect child. Watling, who is trying to raise funds for his new production, bets the doctor 5,000 pounds that his theory has more holes than Swiss cheese.
