To escape an unpromising engagement, Paige runs after singer Frazee who agrees to a mock marriage to help him disentangle himself, but the couple fall in love after the ceremony. Frazee winds up with a stellar nightclub career
and a wealthy husband. Not bad for her, but the viewer is
terribly short-changed by this blah story.
