Marlowe

Garner is a Los Angeles private detective hired by Farrell to find her missing brother. He traces the missing man to a hotel, where he tries to get information from both the manager and the current occupant of the brother's old room. The men deny knowing anything about the brother, but both are murdered with ice picks shortly thereafter. A lead produces photographs of noted television star Hunnicutt in compromising clinches with gangster Wynant. Wynant sends henchman Lee to Garner's office to warn him off the case, and detective O'Connor harasses the private eye, suspecting him in the hotel manager's murder.
