Dr. Leonard Chaney (Richard Basehart) harbors deep guilt over an auto accident that left his daughter, Nancy (Trish Stewart), blind. Obsessed with restoring her sight, he kidnaps people, removes their eyes, and tries to transplant them to his daughter. None of the operations works, however,
and Chaney ends up with a large collection of eyeless folks in his dungeon, who eventually escape and rip out
his eyes. Producer Charles Band, future head of the now-defunct Empire Pictures, was 21 at the time he made this terrible remake of Georges Franju's LES YEUX SANS VISAGE, and his
subsequent efforts have shown that he hasn't learned from his mistakes.
