Some good performances pick up this otherwise ordinary wartime story. Wallace Beery is a blowhard chief pilot of a Navy blimp who talks on and on about his imaginary son and his fighting accomplishments. Gleason is the pal who doesn't believe him, but, when Beery befriends widow Royle
and her son Drake, he suddenly has a ready-made family. The boy is quite sick but on recovering enters the Army and sinks a submarine from a blimp. Gleason is convinced, and Beery takes Royle as a bride. Some good direction and interesting footage of blimps in action as well.
