This remake of an earlier French film stars Deneuve as a prostitute who caters to the rich. She meets and falls in love with Frey, a radio reporter, but continues to take on customers to support her expensive tastes. The film suffers from an ambiguity in its purpose, failing to penetrate
the surface for any insight into the sexual questions raised. Performances are adequate.
