Take one boxer, one boxer's girl friend, and one female fight fan who's only interested in winners, and you've got MANNEQUIN, a formula British entry that brings absolutely nothing new to the genre. Whitmore Humphries plays the boxer who tosses over his sweetheart (Judy Kelly) for a wealthy
society dame (Diana Beaumont) who regards him as a plaything and even bets against him. It should come as little surprise that the fighter not only wins the big bout but also regains the affections of his ex. The boxing sequences are as phony as the plot, but MANNEQUIN does promise more than a few
unintentional laughs.
