The Manitou

After Strasberg discovers a large tumor growing on her back she undergoes surgery to have it removed, but a strange force compels the doctor who performs the operation to stab himself in the hand with a scalpel. Desperate, Karen turns to her former lover, phony spiritualist Curtis, who takes her to see Ansara, a modern-day medicine man. Ansara informs Strasberg that the tumor is actually the fetus of the reincarnation of an evil 400-year-old Indian medicine man who has chosen her to be his host. As the fetus grows larger, Ansara and Curtis prepare to combat the coming evil spirit. This is silly stuff, and the gooey special effects make it ever sillier. Director Gir...
