Loosely based on two Edgar Allan Poe short stories, "The Gold Bug" and "The Tell-tale Heart," this picture teams up Jory and Bromfield to find a hidden pirate treasure. After they find the treasure--and Jory has made good use of the Manfish, Bromfield's boat--Jory kills Bromfield, tying
