Manfish

Loosely based on two Edgar Allan Poe short stories, "The Gold Bug" and "The Tell-tale Heart," this picture teams up Jory and Bromfield to find a hidden pirate treasure. After they find the treasure--and Jory has made good use of the Manfish, Bromfield's boat--Jory kills Bromfield, tying the body to an oxygen tank. The picture was actually shot off the coast of Jamaica, lending a picturesque background. Otherwise, the film fails to capture interest for too long a period, with performances void of believability.
