A poor WW I melodrama stars Cooper as captain in the Army Engineer Corps who marries AWOL ambulance driver Collyer. She is a society girl who became bored with the war, ran away and drew enemy fire to Cooper's company. He must arrest her and grows to admire her stamina when she marches like one of his men in their trek back from the front. They marry in a small town.
