This is a fine little western, which takes the basic plot from countless programmers and uses it to advantage with intelligent dialog and characters. Mitchum is a sort of good-guy-for-hire who'll work for any town that pays him to fight off outlaws. His wife, Sterling, leaves him, tired of
the life her man leads. While out in search of her, Mitchum is hired by a town under the thumb of a land-grabber. He does in the bad man and his henchman, winning back the affections of Sterling in the process. A well-cast film, with an ensemble that perfectly supports Mitchum. With good direction
