Man With A Million

This delightful comedy is convincingly acted by Peck. A penniless seaman stranded in London, he is literally called in from the street by two eccentric multimillionaires, Squire and Hyde-White. These filthy rich brothers have made a bet about a man being able to live like a king if he had a million-pound note but never spent a penny. Peck is given the note and, at first, thinks it's all a joke and that the note is worthless, but when he produces it to pay for a small charge, pandemonium sets in. He is suddenly hailed as an eccentric American millionaire and is soon living in a luxurious hotel suite, wearing Savile Row clothes and dining in fashionable restaurants. ...
