1971, Movie, GP, 105 mins

Star Harris and producer Howard team up again for another wilderness struggle picture after the success of their A MAN CALLED HORSE. Harris, part of an expedition group, while traveling through the Northwest Territory, is mauled by a grizzly and left for dead by crew leader Huston. While regaining his strength and contemplating revenge against Huston, Harris looks back, in flashback, at the events leading up to his present state. The sadism that was so prevalent in A MAN CALLED HORSE is diminished here, but there is still more than enough blood and violence. The gruff and embittered Huston is up to par and succeeds in holding the weak script together, and Harris' performance is also commendable. leave a comment
