Hunter and Stevens play a suburban couple whose marriage is disintegrating through boredom and booze, when Hunter's old war buddy Janssen shows up with a scheme to get $3 million. The money has been stolen from a Latin American dictator and is due at the San Francisco airport. Janssen is wounded during the take, so the two must hide out at Hunter's home.
