My Man Godfrey: Review

Not nearly as charming as the 1936 original, this remake does have its moments. Niven is an Austrian diplomat illegally staying in the US, posing as a butler to avoid detection. Allyson plays the rich girl who learns a few things about life from him. She's cute in her role but hardly the equal of the original character created by Lombard.
