Quinn is an uneducated Mexican gunfighter hired as the sheriff of Mesa. Believing that the job gives him the dignity and respect he needs, Quinn buys new clothes and attempts to join in the town's activities only to find that the townspeople look down upon him--they just want his quick gun when it's needed.
