The Malpas Mystery: Review

Swanson is released from prison after serving time for a crime she did not commit. Cuthbertson realizes she is the long-lost daughter of the wealthy Keen and tries to disguise his mistress as Swanson, but Keen is not fooled. Cuthbertson then abducts Swanson with the plan of forcing her to marry him. Scotland Yard investigator Howard arrives, kills Cuthbertson, and takes Swanson to Keen. This film was one of more than 60 adaptations of Edgar Wallace's novels. leave a comment
