Howard, a jewel thief, gets out of jail and decides on one more caper. He wants to get money to go to the South Sea islands so he can retire. The job backfires, and Howard's partners take off with the money. The jewel thief tracks them down. This was the final screen appearance for the very
talented Dandridge, one of the few black actresses of the 1950s to gain some reputation and star status. The material offered her here was a far cry from the greatness she revealed in her roles in CARMEN JONES and PORGY AND BESS.
