Make Room For Tomorrow

Too symbolic and charming for its own good, MAKE ROOM FOR TOMORROW manages to be entertaining without providing much insight into its story about four generations of Jewish males, ranging from 90-year-old Isaac (Henri Cremieux) to 10-year-old Mathias (Mathieu Kassovitz). The film takes place in the suburban Paris home of Ben (Victor Lanoux, who also produced) and Peggy (Jane Birkin), during a family gathering with Ben's father Elie (Georges Wilson), who is visiting from Israel, and Ben's grandfather, Isaac, who has traveled from Nice for the occasion.
