The Lolita, of the 1940s, and every bit as sexy. Ginger Rogers sparkles as a working girl who dresses up as a 12-year-old in order to get her train ticket for half price. Ray Milland costars as a military man who finds himself strangely attracted to the "girl." This rapid-fire farce marked Billy Wilder's American directorial debut after years of writing witty screenplays for other directors, and it sails along breezily from its very first scenes until its romantic ending.
