Boone sheds his clean-cut image here as he plays a singer at an Italian cafe who's fired when he gets into a fight with a drunk. He meets Zetterling, an older woman who invites him to join her circus ventriloquist act. Problems arise when Boone becomes attracted to the circus owner's daughter, Kwan. When Zetterling's ex-husband Blair (the clown) attacks Boone, Blair falls on a knife and Boone flees.
