Madame Spy

1934, Movie, NR, 70 mins

starstarstarstar
Totally implausible but beautifully shot film, directed by the former cameraman Karl Freund (he also directed the Karloff classic THE MUMMY), in which German captain Asther is hired by the Austrian secret service to capture a mysterious Russian agent known only as B-24. Unfortunately, agent B-24 happens to be Asther's very own Russian wife (well, as Russian as Fay Wray could get). Remade from a German film entitled UNDER FALSE FLAGS (1932). leave a comment
