Dull mystery that tries to capture the flavor of THE THIN MAN but falls far from the mark. Lowe plays a frustrated Hollywood actor who goes on a cruise and refuses to return until his studio agrees to stop casting him in the endless string of murder mysteries he has been doing for them.
Of course, on board Lowe finds himself embroiled in a real murder case when a stiff turns up in his cabin. Together with the lady writer, Landi, who has been penning the novels that are stifling Lowe's career, he traces the killers and eventually solves the mystery.
