Producer-director William Castle insured filmgoers for $1,000 each against "death by fright" before they viewed this movie, based on a novel written by thirteen individuals. The story involves a small town doctor, Prince, who leads the search for his daughter, whom some maniac has buried
alive in a graveyard. In the end the whole thing turns out to be a hoax perpetrated by Prince in order to scare his dead wife's father into a heart attack. Prince then can collect the family inheritance.
