The film features more down-home nonsense from Kilbride and Main as they venture to the Big Apple after Pa wins a jingle-writing contest. There they run into gangsters on the lam and agree to deliver some stolen loot to a buddy of one of the mobsters. Unfortunately, Kilbride loses the dough
and the gangster who is supposed to take delivery thinks the old farmer is trying to muscle his way into the mob. As usual, all works out in the end.
