Lure Of The Swamp

After killing his partner in crime, Parker hires Florida swamp guide Thompson to take him into the marshes where $20,000 in stolen bank money has been hidden. But Parker himself is killed by two others: Vohs, the first gangster's widow, and Elam, an insurance investigator. They want the money as well, and will let nothing stand in their way. In the end, Thompson is wounded, and Elam and Vohs are killed. Vohs has the money in hand, but sinks into quicksand, taking the treasure with her. What could have been a fine suspense thriller, is instead a long, fairly tedious film, thanks to the uninspired direction of Cornfield. Build-ups are dragged out and the payoffs aren...
