This was originally three short television shows based on the famous radio comedy team. However, they were linked together by a narration and released as a sort of three-part film. The first story finds Lauck and Goff helping out Alis, a ballerina unlucky in love. She's crazy about a journalist who's missing, and the two kindly gents, with the help of the US Embassy, get the lovers back together.
