Lamour is a saloon singer, circa 1900. She marries attorney Montgomery and then heads off on a succession of lovers ranging from boxer McClure to his manager Dekker, and finally Kruger, a railroad magnate who takes her to New York. There she becomes a Broadway star until her wild ways
