Russian drama about an airline pilot, Timofeyev, who finds the passport of a woman he believes to be his long-lost daughter who he thought had been killed in WW II. After recalling his long and painful search for the infant, he immediately sets out to find the now-adult woman. The woman, Lepko, has become a nurse living in Siberia. One day on her way home, she and her boy friend quarrel when she insists that he stop their car to aid a mother with a sick child. So she hails a cab, coincidentally the same taxi Timofeyev has been traveling in through town in search of her, and father and daughter are happily reunited. leave a comment
