PSYCHO (1960) star Anthony Perkins teamed up with POLICE ACADEMY-series writer Pat Proft to make this cannibal comedy, one of only two films Perkins directed. Reeling from having been left at the altar, chubby loser Ron Douglas (Joe Alaskey) tries to heal his wounded heart by going on a ski weekend. He meets blonde man eater Cynthia Mitchell (Donna Dixon), who not only warms to Ron's tubby love but invites home for the holidays. The hitch — because there had to be one — is that the Mitchell clan is composed entirely of cannnibals and he's on the menu, hence the film's original title, "Mr. Christmas Dinner." A quesy mix of dark humor and goofy horror.
