The Lucky Star

Marx is a young Jewish boy whose parents (Jacobi and Hughes) are arrested and taken away by the Nazis. The boy is a dreamer and loves Hollywood B westerns. He runs off and hides out as a farmhand on Fletcher's farm. Steiger is a German officer who comes around and is promptly taken prisoner by Marx, much in the same fashion that his western heroes capture bad guys. This is an absolute sweetheart of a movie with fine performances by the ensemble. Filmed in Canada and Holland, this film may be a bit upsetting for young viewers.
