Low Blow

1986, Movie, R, 85 mins

starstarstarstar
A tedious martial arts opus that offers audiences Fong as one of those ex-cops turned first-rate private eyes so common in the movies. He is hired by Donahue, a wealthy industrialist, to get his daughter, Bowling, back from an insidious brainwashing cult run by blind guru Mitchell (a Jim Jones type). Fong is an unappealing screen hero, and his fight sequences are astoundingly dull affairs. Production values are pallid, the script is stupid, and the sound is muddy. On the plus side, it is only 85 minutes long. leave a comment
