For good reasons, this film went unreleased in the US until Goldie Hawn had a big hit with PRIVATE BENJAMIN. Hawn plays American tourist Anita, who gets picked up while hitchhiking by macho Italian Guido (Giancarlo Giannini). Guido is on his way to his father's funeral, but for no
apparent reason he does not tell Anita this; instead, he keeps her locked in the hotel room while he goes out to roam his father's village. The actors manage to play their roles with some conviction, but they can't save the film from its ridiculous premise. Ennio Morricone provides his usual
exceptional score. (In English.)
