This flaccid teen sex comedy set in Los Angeles concerns a battle between two rival high school bands (those of Malibu High and Coldwater Canyon High, if anyone cares). There's also a plot line about a teen telephone service, hence the title. LOVELINES offers absolutely nothing but bad
rock-'n'-roll music, some unnecessary breakdancing, sophomoric sex jokes, peeks at female flesh, and Winslow doing the tiresome sound effects he made popular in POLICE ACADEMY (1984). Another big time waster from TriStar Pictures.
